FRANK Water is a Bristol-based charity with a global mission. It brings safe water, sanitation and hygiene to communities in India and Nepal. Much of its work happens in remote, marginalised places. That impact is profound, but it’s also far from UK supporters. So FRANK Water needs to make distant work feel real and close. It also needs to engage new audiences here at home.

The Problem

Telling a global impact story is harder than it sounds. The work is complex and happens thousands of miles away. The danger is that it feels abstract to people in the UK. At the same time, FRANK Water wanted to reach new supporters. Festivals offered a lively, unexpected place to do that.  In short, the charity video needed both depth and energy.

The Approach

We created content for two very different moments. First, we made an animation to explain the international work. Animation let us show complex, sensitive stories with clarity and care. As a result, the challenges of distant communities and became easy to grasp. It carried real warmth, without relying on archive footage.

Then we shifted gear completely for the festivals. At Gone Wild Festival, we captured vox pops with the crowd. These were vibrant, spontaneous and full of personality. So the social content felt energetic and genuinely human.

The Result

Together, the two strands covered FRANK Water’s whole story. One brought depth and understanding. The other brought energy and reach. As a result, the charity could speak to supporters wherever they were.
