YANKEE CANDLE
Driving a 9% Mother's Day sales uplift across 130+ assets from a single production
Yankee Candle is one of the world’s most recognised home fragrance brands. Mother’s Day is their most commercially significant retail moment – a window where emotional resonance and precise timing matter as much as the product.
Our single shoot day produced 130+ creative assets resulting in a 9% Mother’s Day sales uplift for Yankee Candle.
The challenge
Following a brand-level campaign, Yankee Candle needed to shift focus to product and drive sales through cross-platform activation. That meant producing 130+ assets across digital, social, press, direct mail and OOH – at pace, without sacrificing creative quality, within an 8-week window.
Our approach to retail campaign video production
Working alongside creative agency Attinger Jack, Skylark produced three distinct vignettes. Each centred on a specific target persona most likely to purchase a Mother’s Day gift. Warm, elegant and celebratory in tone, the creative matched Yankee Candle’s premium feel while staying relatable to everyday gift-givers.
Engineered for volume from day one
Rather than treating this as a standard shoot, Skylark structured the entire production to maximise asset yield. Every setup, lighting state and performance served multiple formats and placements simultaneously — so the camera never rolled without feeding several outputs at once.
As a result, Skylark produced 130+ assets from a single, tightly coordinated production cycle. Each channel received tailored versions without returning to set. Furthermore, end-to-end production ownership meant brand consistency held across every touchpoint.
The result
The campaign delivered where it mattered most. A 9% sales increase during the Mother’s Day period, alongside a significant spike in website traffic, demonstrated the commercial impact of getting both creative quality and production efficiency right.
The quality and professionalism of Skylark really made the process so smooth – a great collaboration between Attinger Jack and Skylark.
