MY FAMILY VETS
YouTube brand series for pet insurance
My Family Vets, now Pet Health Club, needed people to notice its insurance brand. So we handled the YouTube ad production end to end: a series of character-led brand films, including Tale of Two Mums, Cops and Shih Tzu. We filmed at Aardman and on location in Clifton, and built the whole series to make an easy-to-ignore category genuinely memorable.
The Problem
Insurance is a low-interest category. Pet insurance is no different. People adore their pets, but they still tune out the ads. My Family Vets wanted to change that. The goal was brand awareness at the top of the funnel: get noticed, be remembered, and feel warm and human rather than corporate.
The Work: YouTube ad production
We created a series of YouTube brand ads. Each one is a self-contained story with real character and humour: Tale of Two Mums, Cops and Shih Tzu.
We filmed at the iconic Aardman studios here in Bristol, and on location in Clifton. Together, the films gave the brand a personality worth remembering.
The Approach
Story over sell. We led with character and story, not policy features. That is the fastest way to make an insurance brand likeable, and memorable.
Built for YouTube. Every stage of the YouTube ad production was platform-first. So the hooks survive the skip button, and every film flexes into cutdowns for different placements.
Craft and place. Filming at Aardman and in Clifton gave the series a distinctive, warm, high-craft feel. As a result, it looked like a brand that cares, not one that just sells.
People don’t remember insurance features. They remember characters and stories. So we led with warmth and humour, and let the brand ride along with it. That is how you turn a category people ignore into one they actually watch, and recall.
